SPICED RICE PUDDING
(MIGHLI)

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1+1/2 cup sugar.
  • 6 cups cold water.
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed.
  • 3/4 cup ground rice powder.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger.
  • 1 teaspoon aniseed.

 GARNISH:

  • blanched almonds.
  • pine nuts.
  • chopped walnuts.
  • coconut.

 


 STEP BY STEP:

  1. Bring a coated saucepan and pour in it 5 cups of water and keep them until they boil.
  2. Mix the rice with the remaining cup of water.
  3. Pound the spices together.
  4. Beat the spices and sugar into the rice mixture, add them to the boiling water and keep them again until they boil.
  5. Lower the heat, mix and keep it about an hour until the mixture coats a spoon.
  6. Pour it into individual bowls.
  7. Garnish with nuts and coconuts.
  8. Serve it warm.
