SPICED RICE PUDDING
(MIGHLI)
INGREDIENTS:
- 1+1/2 cup sugar.
- 6 cups cold
water.
- 1 teaspoon
caraway seed.
- 3/4 cup ground
rice powder.
- 1/4 teaspoon
ginger.
- 1 teaspoon
aniseed.
GARNISH:
- blanched almonds.
- pine nuts.
- chopped
walnuts.
- coconut.
STEP
BY STEP:
- Bring a coated saucepan and pour in it 5 cups of water
and keep them until they boil.
- Mix the rice with the remaining cup of water.
- Pound the
spices together.
- Beat the
spices and sugar into the rice mixture, add them to the boiling water and keep
them again until they boil.
- Lower the heat, mix and keep it about an hour until the
mixture coats a spoon.
- Pour it into individual bowls.
- Garnish with
nuts and coconuts.
- Serve it warm.
