INDIAN KEBAB
(KEBAB HINDI)

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 large tomatoes, cut unto wedges.
  • 2 large onions, julienned.
  • 3 tablespoons semne.

 KEFTA INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/3 cup pine nuts.
  • 800g finely ground lamb or beef.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  • 1 teaspoon salt.
  • 2 tablespoons dried onion soup mix.
  • 1 teaspoon Arabian Spice Mixture.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley.

 


 STEP BY STEP:

  1. Fry the onions in the semne for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes more(mix).
  3. Spread the mixture over the bottom of a rounded baking pan.
  4. Mix the kefta ingredients all together and keep them for 5 minutes to blend well.
  5. Form the shape of the kebabs (the shape of fat sausages, about 7cm. long and 3cm. thick).
  6. Put them on the top of the onion and tomato mixture.
  7. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake at 350f for about half an hour.
