LENTILS WITH SWISS CHARD
(ADAS-BIS-SILI)

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 liters of water.
  • 1 cup brown lentils.
  • 1/4 cup olive oil.
  • 1+1/2 teaspoons salt.
  • 3 cloves minced garlic.
  • 1 chopped onion.
  • 3/4 cup chopped kuzbara.
  • 2 cups sili.
  •  lemon.

 


 STEP BY STEP:

  1. Pick over and wash the lentils.
  2. Boil the lentils.
  3. Add some salt and cover, keep it until it is well-done(1+1/2-2hours).
  4.  Saute the onions in the olive oil until soft.
  5.  Add the garlic to the onions and cook for another 1 minute.
  6.  Carefully, wash and rudely chop the sili.
  7. Bring a deep, coated pan, put in the lentils, sili(chard), onions, kuzbara and keep them for about 15 minutes.
  8. Serve it with a squeeze of lemon.

    NOTICE: You do not need to add any liquid, because the dish will stew in the juices of the chard.
