CHICKEN WITH RICE AND TOMATOES
INGREDIENTS:
- Salt.
- Pepper.
- 1 chicken, cut
up.
- 1/2 cup semne.
- 3 cloves
garlic, minced.
- 1 large onion,
chopped.
- 1 tablespoon
tomato paste.
- 4 large ripe
tomatoes.
- 1 chicken
bouillon cube.
- 3 cups of
water.
- 3 whole
cloves.
- 1 small piece
cinnamon stick.
- 1/4 teaspoon
pepper.
- 1 teaspoon
salt.
- 1+1/4 cups
rice, rinsed.
STEP
BY STEP:
- Wash the chicken and dry it.
- Sprinkle some salt and pepper.
- Saute the
chicken in the semne in a deep coated frying pan until golden, then remove it.
- Saute the onions and garlic in the same oil.
- Peel the
tomatoes and chop it, then add it along with the remaining ingredients except
the rice.
- Keep them until they boil.
- Add the
chicken pieces over them, keep it until the chicken is well-done, then remove
the chicken.
- Prepare the rice by measuring the broth with its
vegetables to 3 cups(add some water if necessary) and cook the rice in the
broth.
- When the rice is well-done put it onto a serving dish
and top it with the pieces of chicken.
