CHICKEN WITH RICE AND TOMATOES

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • Salt.
  • Pepper.
  • 1 chicken, cut up.
  • 1/2 cup semne.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced.
  • 1 large onion, chopped.
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste.
  •  4 large ripe tomatoes.
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube.
  • 3 cups of water.
  • 3 whole cloves.
  • 1 small piece cinnamon stick.
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
  • 1 teaspoon salt.
  • 1+1/4 cups rice, rinsed.

 


 STEP BY STEP:

  1. Wash the chicken and dry it.
  2. Sprinkle some salt and pepper.
  3.  Saute the chicken in the semne in a deep coated frying pan until golden, then remove it.
  4. Saute the onions and garlic in the same oil.
  5. Peel the tomatoes and chop it, then add it along with the remaining ingredients except the rice.
  6. Keep them until they boil.
  7. Add the chicken pieces over them, keep it until the chicken is well-done, then remove the chicken.
  8. Prepare the rice by measuring the broth with its vegetables to 3 cups(add some water if necessary) and cook the rice in the broth.
  9.  When the rice is well-done put it onto a serving dish and top it with the pieces of chicken.
