BEANS WITH SPICY TOMATO SAUCE

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 large onion, cut into slivers.
  •  300g beans, soaked over night.
  •  2 cloves chopped garlic.
  • 2 medium tomatoes, skinned and chopped.
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste.
  • pepper.
  • salt.
  • hot spices.

 


 STEP BY STEP:

  1. Drain the beans, replace the water and boil until tender(1+1/2-3).
  2. If you are using a pressure cooker, the beans will cook in around 40 minutes.
  3.  Fry the onions and garlic in the semne until softened.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and keep it for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the remaining ingredients beans, plus one cup of their coking water and the hot spices.
  6. Keep them for another 15 minutes.
  7. Serve it hot.
  8. You can serve it with rice.
